Enoch Agbaube has been accused of murdering his grandfather, John Agbaube, on allegations of witchcraft in Cross River State.

The tragic incident took place in Utanga community, Obanliku Local Government Area of the state on August 18, 2023.

According to reports, Enoch accused his grandfather of being a wizard and attributing his misfortunes to him.

The young man brutally killed his grandfather with a machete, nearly beheading him as he sat outside his house.

Barrister Paul Idiga stated that Enoch blamed his lack of progress and hardships on his grandpa’s alleged supernatural activities.

Anungo Felix Ishel, a community member, confirmed the incident and revealed that the suspect had been apprehended in Benue State, where he had fled after committing the gruesome act.
