Zagazola Makama, a security analyst focused on counter-insurgency in the Lake Chad region, has reported that he possesses an exclusive letter from the ISWAP group (Islamic State in West Africa Province) to the Abubakar Shekau faction of Boko Haram, challenging them to a combat.
According to Zagazola, ISWAP accused the Boko Haram faction of misleading the populace, spreading false information, distorting the truth, engaging in corruption, and committing acts of sexual violence under the pretext of religious devotion.
