Pop icon Britney Spears has broken her silence on the heels of her divorce announcement from husband Sam Asghari.
News of Asghari’s departure from the marriage garnered significant attention this week, only 14 months after their high-profile wedding.
Spears took to her Instagram on Saturday to confirm the divorce and express her sadness over the separation.
While asserting that she owed no one explanations about her personal life, she revealed that she could no longer endure the emotional pain.

In her statement, she acknowledged the end of her six-year relationship with Asghari, emphasizing that she wasn’t inclined to provide reasons as it was a private matter.
She acknowledged the support she received from friends and shared that her Instagram profile might portray a perfect image, but it’s far from reality.
Spears reassured her fans that she’s coping well and will strive to remain strong.
Asghari also responded to the situation through his Instagram stories, mentioning that he and his now-ex-wife had mutually decided to conclude their six-year journey, expressing love and respect for one another.
Sources indicate that their marriage had faced difficulties, including physical altercations arising from fights and allegations of infidelity.
The couple had met in 2016 on a music video set, subsequently dating and marrying in June 2022 after Britney’s conservatorship was lifted.
Spears had previously been married to Kevin Federline, with whom she shares two sons.
