The incident raises concerns due to the endangered status of donkeys, particularly as they originate from Abakaliki where there is a substantial population of these animals.

The discovery highlights the potential threat to the ecosystem and animal conservation.

The involved Chinese individual has been apprehended, and further investigations are ongoing.

Regarding the dried shark fins, Yusuf emphasized that investigations are underway to ascertain their origin.

He pointed out the scarcity of sharks in Nigerian waters and raised suspicions about their source.

The seized shark fins, numbering 1,700 pieces, were set to be exported to Hong Kong. This marks a significant occurrence, as it represents the first seizure of its kind within the command.
