The Adamawa State Police Command has taken into custody three alleged members of the criminal gang known as Shila Boys, in connection with the tragic killing of Umar Abdulkadir, a 37-year-old individual.

The incident took place last week in the vicinity of Ajiya Street, a residential community located in Jimeta, within the Yola North Local Government Area of the state.

Umar was brutally attacked by the gang, who attempted to steal his mobile phone.

In a grim turn of events, when he resisted the assailants’ efforts, they resorted to repeatedly stabbing him, ultimately resulting in his untimely demise.

Suleiman Nguroje, the spokesperson for the command, confirmed this development in a concise statement released on August 16, 2023.

The arrest of the three suspects, Ismail Isah (21), Umar Usman Sola (17), and Suleiman Muhammed (16), hailing from distinct addresses, followed the investigation into the assault and subsequent killing of Umar.
