Nigerian music sensation Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, widely recognized as Bella Shmurda, has shared a distressing incident involving his fellow artist Mohbad, shedding light on how the latter attempted suicide due to the strained relationship with his former record label, Marlian Music.

In a previous episode, Mohbad had publicly criticized Naira Marley, his former label boss, asserting that he was assaulted by Naira Marley’s associates.

Subsequently, Mohbad disassociated himself from the record label.

During a conversation with prominent media figure Chude Jideonwo, Bella Shmurda recounted a harrowing incident in which Mohbad contemplated suicide amid his struggles.

Shmurda revealed, “There was a time when Mohbad and I were together in an apartment, and Mohbad expressed his desire to jump from a window upstairs due to his tumultuous dealings with his record label.

We managed to restrain him at the window, and it was only when his girlfriend entered the room and found him seated by the window that the situation was diffused.”

Bella Shmurda further disclosed that Mohbad underwent therapy sessions and medical treatment for hypertension as part of his recovery process following the challenges stemming from his association with the former record label.
