Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo signs two year contract with Al Wehda in Saudi Arabia

Al Wehda, a team in the Saudi Arabia Professional League, has confirmed the acquisition of Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo.

The 34-year-old former Super Eagles forward has inked a two-year contract with Al Wehda after the conclusion of his tenure with previous club Al Hilal in June.

The announcement of Ighalo’s arrival was shared via the club’s social media platforms on Tuesday evening.

The club’s official Twitter handle posted a message that read, “A new Eagle in the ranks of the Knights. Welcome Ighalo.”

Ighalo, who emerged as top scorer in the Saudi League with 20 goals two seasons ago, had previously played for Al Shabab in Saudi Arabia.

During his time with Al Hilal, he clinched both the league title and the Kings Cup.
