Two siblings, Samuel and Samson Ogoshi, have been extradited to the United States to stand trial for allegedly operating a global sexual extortion scheme that resulted in the tragic death of a teenage US citizen, Jordan DeMay.
The extradition of the Ogoshi siblings was facilitated by a ruling from Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court.
The final surrender order, authorizing the extradition of the 22 and 20-year-old siblings, was signed by the Solicitor-General of the Federation, permitting their transfer to West Michigan, US.
The US Attorney for the Western District of Michigan, Mark Totten, disclosed that the arrest of the Ogoshis was the result of a collaborative investigation between the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Presently, the suspects are in federal custody in Michigan, and they have been indicted on four charges related to sexual exploitation, child pornography, and cyberstalking.
Samuel Ogoshi is further charged with being responsible for the death of 17-year-old Jordan DeMay, who tragically took his own life in March 2022.
Prosecutors allege that Samuel posed as a young woman using a hacked social media account to engage with DeMay, convincing him to share an explicit photo of himself.
Subsequently, Samuel allegedly blackmailed DeMay, threatening to release the image unless he paid him.
Despite DeMay paying $300, Ogoshi demanded more and reportedly responded callously when DeMay expressed thoughts of self-harm.
