Organized Labor has issued a stern warning that it will initiate a complete, all-encompassing, and indefinite nationwide shutdown of Nigeria if the petrol pump price, currently at 617 naira, is increased once again, which they deem to be “illegal.”
Joe Ajaero, the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), conveyed this declaration during a meeting of the African Trade Union alliance in Abuja.
The organized labor further emphasized that any attempt to undermine their demands would not be tolerated.
