IPOB distributes flyers declaring cancellation of sit at home exercise

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has initiated a widespread distribution of flyers and posters across the South-East region of Nigeria, informing residents about the cancellation of the sit-at-home exercise.

This move comes as the pro-Biafran group aims to convey the message that the sit-at-home practice is no longer in effect and will not be employed as a tool of civil disobedience in their pursuit of self-determination.

IPOB spokesperson, Emma Powerful, stated that the directive to distribute these materials by hand and display posters was authorized by the group’s leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

He emphasized that any individual promoting the non-existent sit-at-home is considered an adversary of the people and will face consequences.

The group firmly asserted that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had permanently terminated the Monday sit-at-home tradition in Biafraland.

They cautioned that anyone found attempting to enforce this defunct practice will be immediately apprehended and dealt with.

IPOB also disassociated themselves from a group claiming to be a Biafra Government in Exile, operating from Finland under the name “Autopilot.”

They clarified that this group does not represent the views of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB members, or the Eastern Security Network (ESN) operatives.

The statement affirmed that there is no government in exile associated with the Biafran struggle.
