The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has disclosed that Nigerian army troops have successfully eliminated 38 suspected terrorists in the span of a week, spanning all six geopolitical zones of the country.
Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, shared this information with journalists, highlighting that the soldiers also apprehended 242 individuals and rescued 89 hostages during various operations conducted nationwide.
Edward Buba provided a detailed breakdown of the arrests, stating that among those apprehended were 175 gunmen, 20 kidnappers, 30 collaborators, and 17 pipeline vandals.

In addition to these achievements, the troops confiscated stolen crude oil with an estimated value of N607 million.
The operations spanned different regions, with Operation Hadin Kai in the north-east eliminating 16 terrorists, arresting 53 suspects, and rescuing 34 hostages.
In the north-central, Operation Safe Haven neutralized three terrorists, arrested 13 individuals (including five kidnappers), and rescued three abducted persons.
Similar successes were reported in other regions, including the destruction of illegal refining sites and the recovery of stolen crude oil in the south-south.
