Auwal Umar Bijimi, a representative of Giwa West Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, has expressed concern about the recurring abduction of his constituents.
He revealed that bandits are taking advantage of a damaged bridge in Giwa Local Government Area, Kaduna State, to consistently attack villagers.
Bijimi brought this urgent issue to the attention of the State House Assembly, stressing the need for immediate action from the government and security forces.

The bandits have reportedly set up roadblocks at the compromised bridge, facilitating their criminal activities and leading to the displacement of residents from their homes.
The affected communities primarily consist of farmers whose engagement in agricultural activities is crucial, especially during the ongoing rainy season.
Bijimi called upon the state government to swiftly intervene by providing temporary shelters, relief materials, and food supplies for the affected citizens.
He emphasized the importance of reconstructing the damaged bridge to restore normalcy and connectivity for the residents.
