In a tragic incident on Thursday, August 10, 2023, gunmen believed to be Fulani militias reportedly carried out an attack in the Heipang community of Ladi Local Government Area, Plateau State.

The assault took place during the early hours, leaving 17 individuals dead, including a resident’s brother, his spouse, and their children.

Julius Pam, a community member, confirmed the grim incident to Punch newspaper in Jos.

Responding to the situation, security forces have been dispatched to the area by authorities at the command headquarters to address the distressing incident.
