Peoples Democratic Party’s Deputy National Woman Leader, Hajara Wanka, has tendered her resignation from the position.
In a letter addressed to the acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, Wanka revealed her decision on Tuesday.
She stated that she is stepping down from her national role within the PDP to take up the role of a commissioner in Bauchi State, following her nomination by Governor Bala Mohammed.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve at the national level, Wanka conveyed her appreciation to the National Working Committee led by Damagum.
She also acknowledged Governor Mohammed for deeming her qualified to contribute to his administration.
With her accumulated experience from her years of service to the party, Wanka highlighted that she will bring her insights to her new position in Bauchi State.
The PDP’s spokesperson, Debo Ologunagba, extended congratulations to Wanka for her appointment and wished her success in her fresh responsibilities.
Ologunagba also commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his impactful governance, aligning with the PDP’s core principles and policy objectives.
The PDP’s NWC called upon Wanka to leverage her skills and capabilities in her new role.
