Veteran Nollywood actor, Joseph Benjamin, has shared the story of how he ventured into the taxi business in the United States after facing unexpected challenges.
Benjamin, aged 46, narrated his experience during an episode of the King of Talks podcast hosted by comedian Teju Babyface.
The actor revealed that he had relocated to the United States from Nigeria based on promises of movie opportunities, only to be let down by the person who assured him of gigs.
Upon arrival, he found himself in a precarious situation, with no prospects and mounting financial pressures. He had invested all he had into the move, and the promised opportunities fell through.
Stranded in a foreign land, Benjamin made the tough decision to enter the taxi business.
He recounted how he had to adapt to his new reality, taking up driving for ride-sharing platforms like Uber and Lyft to make ends meet and cover his expenses.
