Atiku’s aide reveals filing of case against Tinubu in US

The Special Assistant on Public Communications to Atiku Abubakar, Mr. Phrank Shaibu, has revealed that his principal has initiated legal proceedings against President Bola Tinubu in the United States of America District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

The case, numbered No. 23-5099 (N. D. III.), was filed as a fresh suit, leading Atiku to withdraw a previous case in an Illinois Circuit Court.

Atiku, the former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the February 25 election, is contesting the Independent National Electoral Commission’s declaration of Tinubu as the election winner.

Shaibu clarified that Atiku withdrew the initial case to avoid potential misuse of legal proceedings, as the matter is being pursued in a higher court.

Shaibu also pointed out the controversy surrounding Tinubu’s educational records and questioned the President’s inability to name any former classmates.

Shaibu contrasted this with other leaders who have invited former classmates to official events, highlighting a perceived lack of transparency in Tinubu’s educational history.
