Flood renders residents of Ondo communities homeless

The communities of Igbobini and Ilu Agbo in Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State are facing a crisis as heavy floods caused by continuous downpours have left residents homeless.

Many houses in the affected areas have been ravaged by the flood, and numerous residents are seeking refuge at RCM Primary School Ilu Agbo.

The Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government, Mrs. Sipasi Aluko, visited the communities and called on both the Ondo State and Federal Governments to urgently provide aid to the affected residents.

Additionally, the flood has submerged the bridge that links Ese-Odo-Irele with Araromi, Ayeka, and Okitipupa communities in Okitipupa Local Government.

Residents are appealing to the government to revisit the bridge construction contract and extend it to facilitate easier movement in the area.
