The Department of State Services (DSS) has summoned and questioned Tokunbo Talabi, the Secretary to Ogun State Government, in connection with recent fraud allegations against him.
The interrogation occurred at the DSS Ogun State Command Headquarters in Abeokuta on Friday at 6:55 pm.
According to an anonymous source from the DSS, the investigation was initiated based on allegations against Talabi, particularly his alleged involvement with Superflux Printing Limited, located in Lagos State.
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mike Ozekhome, reportedly lodged a petition with several agencies, urging an investigation into the connection between Talabi and the printing company during past elections.
Interestingly, the DSS grilled Talabi based on a petition filed by the SSG himself concerning the same allegations.
The questioning covered a range of issues, including Superflux Printing Limited’s role in the Covid-19 palliative controversy and its connection to significant sums of money related to Ogun State and the 2023 elections.
These allegations have raised concerns about the upcoming elections’ credibility.
The DSS assured the public of its commitment to a thorough investigation to unravel the complexities surrounding Talabi and his association with Superflux Printing Limited.
The outcome of this inquiry is likely to have significant implications for Ogun State and its governance.
As of now, attempts to reach Talabi for his response to the DSS invitation have been unsuccessful.
