Zakaria Jikantoro, the Niger State All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman, has tendered his resignation.

He made the announcement during a press conference on Friday, August 4, stating that it was a personal decision.

Jikantoro also mentioned the need for an emergency meeting to brief the state executive on the reasons for his resignation.

In his own words, he expressed, “I, on my own, humbly and voluntarily wish to resign my position as the chairman of the party, the APC, in Niger State.

This is the reason why I have decided to invite the media to come and cover this meeting.”
