FAAN announces suspension of taxi services at Abuja airport

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has taken the decision to suspend airport taxi services at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, due to ongoing factional disputes among car hire operators.

These disputes have been negatively impacting the smooth operation of the airport car hire service.

According to Abdullahi Yakubu-Funtua, the Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, FAAN, the suspension is effective immediately.

In light of this development, the public is advised to consider secure alternative means of transportation or e-hailing services when arriving at or departing from the airport.

FAAN expresses regret for any inconvenience caused to passengers, airport users, and the general public as a result of this necessary suspension.

The airport car hire services will resume as soon as the disputes among the operators are resolved.
