Ondo State Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has taken significant palliative measures to alleviate the financial burden on vulnerable residents in the wake of the fuel subsidy removal.
The Governor suspended registration and consultation fees in government-owned hospitals across the state, providing relief to the citizens.
The Commissioner for Finance, Wale Akinterinwa, announced during a press briefing that one million households would receive food items distributed fairly to those in need.
Students will also benefit from free shuttle buses and boats to facilitate transportation to and from educational institutions.
Pensioners will also receive a monthly stipend of N10,000 for five months.
These far-reaching palliative actions aim to address pocketbook issues caused by the removal of petroleum subsidy, easing the financial strain on citizens during these challenging economic times.
