According to The News Agency of Nigeria, Air Peace recently thwarted an attempted theft of N1 million on one of its flights. The incident occurred on the Abuja-PHC flight P47192 on July 27.

The airline’s spokesperson, Stanley Olisa, stated that the suspect, who was a passenger, stole the money from another passenger’s brown envelope.

However, with the intervention of the airline’s staff and the owner of the money, the suspect was caught.

During the flight, the suspect took another passenger’s computer bag and moved the stolen money to a different compartment.

Despite the proper disembarkation sequence announced by the crew, the suspect was among the first to disembark.

He was subsequently handed over to security operatives for further investigation, but the owner’s reluctance to pursue prosecution has diminished the chances of legal action against the suspect.
