President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Cotonou to participate in the 63rd independence anniversary of the Republic of Benin. He was received by President Patrice Talon and top government officials.
The delegation accompanying President Tinubu includes six governors and some political aides.
This marks the third meeting between Tinubu and Talon, with previous encounters in Paris, France, and Guinea-Bissau.
During these interactions, the leaders discussed the need to enhance cultural, trade, and economic ties between their nations, and also focused on issues such as joint border patrols and harmonizing regulations.
The anniversary event serves as an opportunity to strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and Benin.
