Five suspected notorious receivers of stolen properties have been arrested by the Niger State Police Command in Minna and its environs.

The arrest was made based on the confessions of a suspected robbery gang recently apprehended. The robbery gang operated in various areas, stealing items such as mobile phones and laptops.

The arrested receivers include Ahmed Sani (23), Abdullahi Abubakar (37), Auwal Saidu (25), Abdulkareem Musa (30), and Safianu Ibrahim (21), all of whom are mobile phone repairers.

Murtala Junaidu (21) from Katsina state, residing in the Makera area, was arrested for allegedly allowing his tricycle to be used by the gang for their operations.

Several stolen items were recovered during the operation, and investigations are ongoing to apprehend other suspects still at large.
