In a nationwide broadcast addressing the country’s current economic challenges, President Bola Tinubu reassured Nigeria’s working population that his administration is working in collaboration with labor unions to introduce a new national minimum wage.

He assured the workers that their salaries would soon be reviewed upwards.

The ongoing deliberations between the organized labor and the Presidential Steering Committee on Palliatives, headed by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, are aimed at discussing the new minimum wage.

Once an agreement is reached, budget provisions will be made for its immediate implementation.

Tinubu’s commitment to improving workers’ salaries aims to address their concerns and provide relief amid the challenging economic conditions.
