President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of a fresh management team to lead the Nigeria Customs Service.
This decision comes shortly after the appointment of Adewale Adeniyi as the acting Comptroller General of Customs, which led to the retirement of some existing management members within the service.
The newly appointed team comprises three deputy comptroller generals and three assistant comptroller generals.
In a statement released by Abdullahi Maiwada, the National Public Relations Officer of the service, Adeniyi expressed his gratitude to the retiring management members for their commendable service and extended congratulations to the newly appointed officers.
He urged the appointees to be dedicated in their efforts to elevate the service to greater heights in fulfilling its duties, including revenue generation, combating smuggling, and facilitating trade.
The appointed officers are: DCG FO Okun, DCG MBA Musa, DCG A Hamisu, ACG K Olumoh, ACG AB Mohammed, and ACG A Alajogun.
