In a recent incident in Zamfara State, bandits targeted Talata Mafara town, abducting 10 individuals and injuring one person.

The attack took place on Wednesday night, July 26, around 11.30 pm.

The assailants specifically aimed for the residence of Kabiru Yahaya Classic, a former member of the House of Representatives representing Talata Mafara/Anka Federal Constituency, but were unable to gain entry.

The attackers disguised themselves as visitors, wearing white attire, before unleashing their violence on the community.

They proceeded to go from house to house, knocking on doors, and forcibly taking away anyone who appeared.

During the ordeal, one person sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.

The incident has left the residents shaken and highlights the ongoing security challenges in the region.
