Tragedy struck in the Idioro area of Mushin, Lagos State, as operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) allegedly shot dead two individuals, including one Gafar Yusuf.

The incident occurred when the NDLEA team conducted a drug den raid in the community around 10 pm on Wednesday.

The operatives reportedly began shooting indiscriminately to scare off potential troublemakers during the raid, resulting in stray bullets hitting Yusuf’s head and another unidentified victim’s chest.

Residents expressed shock and outrage at the incident, questioning the need for such reckless shooting in a residential area.

Video clips from the scene showed chaotic scenes and grief-stricken residents surrounding the lifeless bodies of the victims.

As of the time of reporting, the NDLEA’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, had not responded to calls or messages seeking clarification on the matter.
