A serious accident occurred in the Maryland-Jibowu area near Anthony Bridge in Lagos State, involving a container-laden truck, a pick-up van, and a motorcycle.

The collision resulted from a brake failure experienced by the truck, causing the driver to lose control, leading to a collision with the motorcycle and van.

According to the State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Babatunde Farinloye, four individuals were injured in the crash, comprising two females and two males.

The injured victims were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Although the motorcyclist was one of the victims, it was not initially clear which vehicle the other three victims were associated with.

Authorities, including the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, responded to the incident, and a video obtained by reporters displayed the truck with the bike resting on it, while the Mitsubishi van suffered severe damage to its side.
