Late rapper Tupac’s crown gold ring sold for $1 million in New York auction

Tupac Amaru Shakur’s iconic gold ring, worn during his final public appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards in September 1996, fetched an impressive $1 million in a New York auction on Tuesday.

The ring, adorned with the inscription “Pac & Dada 1996” on its side, was specially designed for Tupac in New York City after his release from jail and signing with Death Row Records, according to his godmother, Yaasmyn Fula, who provided the ring to the auction house.

Crafted from gold, rubies, and diamond crowns, the ring became the most valuable hip-hop artifact ever sold, as reported by the New York Post.

Tupac tragically lost his life at the age of 25 on September 13, 1996, when an unidentified assailant shot him in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas.
