President Bola Ahmed Tinubu plans to honor Hajiya Aishatu Yan Guru Bungudu Nahuche, a Zamfara female pilgrim, for her honesty in returning $80,000 (about N60 million) she found during the 2023 pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

Alhaji Musa Mallaha, the chairman of the Zamfara State Hajj Committee, revealed that President Tinubu was pleased with the incident and directed the National Hajj Commission to hold a national press conference with the woman for documentation.

Although the lady had already returned to Nigeria after completing the Hajj, arrangements are being made for her public recognition in Zamfara State, with the presence of the state’s governor and First Lady.

Her display of honesty is praised as a testament to Islamic teachings.
