Rivers journalist kidnappers demand N150 million ransom

Gunmen abducted Mrs. Priestba Anthony Wokocha, the Director of News at Rivers State Broadcasting Corporation (RSBC), as she was returning from work last Friday evening.

The kidnappers have now contacted her family, demanding a staggering N150 million ransom for her safe release.

Mrs. Wokocha’s husband, Mr. Anthony Wokocha, shared this distressing information with the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) Rivers State chapter during their visit to express empathy for the unfortunate incident.

According to Mr. Wokocha, the abduction occurred around 8 pm when his wife’s vehicle broke down near the Golf Estate Highway in Trans Amadi Port Harcourt.

The kidnappers contacted him the next day and stipulated the exorbitant ransom as the condition for her freedom.
