Obama’s personal chef drowns while paddleboarding near former US president’s vineyard estate

The individual who tragically drowned while paddleboarding on a pond near the Obamas’ Martha’s Vineyard estate has been identified as Tafari Campbell, the former US president’s personal chef.

The 45-year-old’s body was found in the water, around 100 feet from the Obamas’ property on Edgartown Great Pond.

Campbell previously served as a sous chef in the White House kitchen during Barack Obama’s presidency and was later hired as part of his personal staff.

Emergency responders and multiple agencies were involved in the search for Campbell after reports of a possible drowning.

Despite their efforts, Campbell’s body was discovered the next morning.

The Obamas expressed their sorrow in a heartfelt statement, remembering Campbell as a beloved and kind person who brought brightness to their lives.
