The lifeless body of an unidentified woman without a head was found in the Umuahia South Local Government Area of Abia State.

The gruesome discovery took place around Ohiya Mechanic Village, close to Abia Towers.

Engineers, who were laying cables in a gutter they had previously dug, stumbled upon the decomposing body and immediately abandoned the project due to the nauseating stench emanating from it.

An eyewitness, Kinsley Alozie, shared a conversation with one of the engineers who witnessed the distressing scene.

The engineer confirmed finding another corpse, revealing that it was the second body they had encountered in the area.

The police were not informed at the time, but when contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, assured that they would investigate the situation.
