A young woman named Miss Chinyere Awuda met a tragic end at a popular hotel in Awka, Anambra State.

The incident occurred during a birthday party where friends were spraying money on the celebrant as he danced.

The following morning, Chinyere’s lifeless body was discovered in the hotel’s swimming pool, leading to suspicions that she was dumped there.

Trouble started when Chinyere was accused of picking up money intended for the birthday celebrant.

Witnesses reported that a man and his friends began assaulting her, alleging that she not only picked money from the floor but also took bundles of money from one of the celebrant’s friends.

Despite attempts by others to intervene, the assault continued until Chinyere was dragged outside the club and thrown into the pool.

The authorities have arrested four suspects, including the birthday celebrant and his friends, in connection with the incident.

The police are currently investigating the case.
