US rapper G Herbo set to plead guilty in wire fraud scheme

American rapper G Herbo, whose real name is Herbert Wright, has reached a plea agreement in a wire fraud case related to stolen identities.

He and five associates, including promoter Antonio Strong, were accused of using stolen identities to make fraudulent charges totaling up to $1.5 million.

The charges included expenses for private jet excursions, trips to Jamaica, and purchases of “designer puppies.”

The case was charged in Massachusetts as one of the private airline owners involved is based in the state.

Under the plea deal, G Herbo will plead guilty in July. While he could face up to 20 years in prison, he is likely to receive a lower sentence, possibly probation, as per court records.

The plea agreement also includes restitution payments to alleged victims.
