NDLEA secures forfeiture of 111 abandoned vehicles from drug dealers

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) achieved a significant legal victory as the Federal High Court in Lagos issued a final forfeiture order for 111 vehicles and motorcycles abandoned by suspected drug dealers.

Justice Ayokunle Faji granted the order, directing the NDLEA to sell the forfeited vehicles and remit the proceeds to the Federal Government.

The court’s decision came after hearing the submissions of the NDLEA’s counsel, Abu Ibrahim.

Abu argued that the orders were sought under various legal provisions, including sections of the Constitution and the NDLEA Act.

The grounds for the forfeiture included the lack of ownership claims and the deteriorated state of the vehicles.
