Naeema Marshall, a Grade 9 student, was visiting her aunt when she was gunned down in Eerste River.

Police are investigating the murder case and have transferred it to the Anti Gang Unit for further investigation.

The suspect, a 15-year-old boy known to the victim, fled the scene and is yet to be arrested.

Naeema’s mother is grieving the loss of her youngest child, describing her as a joyful and talented netball player.

The community is devastated by the tragic event, and Naeema’s funeral will be held on Tuesday.
