Akure North Local Government Vice Chairman in Ondo State, Anthony Adebusole, has passed away, just days after the death of the council’s chairman, Bankole Ogbesetore.

Ogbesetore died on July 11, 2023, after a battle with an undisclosed illness. Adebusole, who had been unwell for several weeks, sadly passed away on July 16, 2023.

The former Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Saka Ogunleye, confirmed the vice chairman’s death, describing it as tragic and painful for the local council.

The consecutive losses of the council’s top officials within a week have brought deep sorrow to the community.

The acting governor of the state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, had already visited Ogbesetore’s residence to offer condolences before Adebusole’s untimely demise.
