PSG gears up with €120m bid for Osimhen

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is preparing to make a second bid for Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian forward, amounting to €120 million. In June, the French champions had their initial offer of €100 million rejected.

Although the new bid falls short of Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis’ valuation of €150 million, it exceeds the offers made by other interested clubs, such as Chelsea, Manchester United, and Real Madrid.

De Laurentiis believes that only PSG can afford Osimhen and has dismissed other suitors.

While negotiations for Osimhen’s contract extension with Napoli are ongoing, Bayern Munich has halted negotiations due to Napoli’s high economic demands.

PSG is seen as the main obstacle for Napoli as they view Osimhen as a suitable replacement for Kylian Mbappé.

Osimhen had an impressive performance last season, scoring 26 goals and providing five assists, and became the first African player to win the Capocannoniere award.

He is eagerly waiting for updates on his future and is set to resume pre-season training on July 19.
