The Ogun State Government has acknowledged that its official website, www.ogunstate.gov.ng, was subjected to a hacking incident.

The website was targeted by a group identifying themselves as Aleister Crowley, who successfully took control of the site.

The hackers left a message on the compromised site stating, “ANONGHOST. Hacked by Aleister Crowley.”

Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, confirmed the cyberattack on July 12 and assured that efforts were underway to restore the website.

He emphasized that all critical data and applications remained secure.

Talabi further highlighted that the State ICT team was diligently working to regain access and restore critical services.
