PDP governors call for credible elections in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi

Governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to maintain a high standard of neutrality in the governorship elections scheduled for November 11 in Bayelsa, Imo, and Kogi states.

Expressing concerns over the escalating insecurity in various parts of the country, the governors also urged the federal government to fulfill its responsibility of safeguarding the lives and property of Nigerians.

In a communique issued after their inaugural meeting, the PDP Governors’ Forum emphasized the need for collaboration among the federal government, security agencies, and INEC to ensure a fair and unbiased electoral process.

The governors also pledged to work together to strengthen the PDP and promote good governance in their respective states, while offering constructive criticism to maintain the forum’s independence and autonomy.
