A Nigerian man named George Onyekachi Onuoha was tragically killed in Indonesia, reportedly by a group of individuals known as ‘Ambon boys’ in Tangerang, Banten province, on July 9, 2023.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear. According to a witness, incidents like this have occurred before, with little action taken by the Nigerian embassy.

Chief Omeogo Okolie, the President of the Nigerian community in Indonesia, confirmed the incident and expressed the need for a thorough investigation.

The embassy is awaiting an official report from the police.
