Niger state boosts security forces with 20 vehicles to combat crime

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Bago, has directed security agents in the state to apprehend and bring to justice the hoodlums causing disturbances, particularly in Minna and its surroundings.

The governor issued the order during the inauguration ceremony of 20 operational vehicles that he donated to various security agencies at the Government House in Minna.

Expressing concern about the security challenges in the state capital, Bago expressed confidence that the provision of these vehicles would help tackle the menace effectively.

“I am giving you a clear directive to go after the hoodlums and ensure that they face justice,” he stated.

Furthermore, he instructed the demolition of buildings used for drug trafficking and the confiscation of related items.

Among the 20 vehicles, 12 were allocated to the police, while the State Security Service (SSS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) received two each.

The Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), the Hunters Group, and the Anti-Drug Committee (ADC) each received one vehicle.
