According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is PSG’s main transfer objective if Kylian Mbappé decides to leave the club this summer.
Mbappé has openly expressed his intention to depart on a free transfer when his contract expires in June 2024, but PSG is eager to sell him this year if he doesn’t sign a new deal.
Napoli has already rejected a €100 million bid from PSG and has set their asking price at €180 million.
If Mbappé’s departure materializes, the funds gained by PSG could potentially enable them to meet Napoli’s demands.
While Napoli is keen to extend Osimhen’s contract beyond 2025, they are reportedly on good terms with his agent Roberto Calenda.
If Osimhen leaves, Napoli’s primary target is said to be Lille forward Jonathan David.
English Premier League clubs Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool have reportedly initiated talks with Napoli regarding the signing of Osimhen.
Napoli is also in discussions to extend Osimhen’s contract and may include a hefty €200 million release clause in the new deal.
Osimhen is currently in Nigeria, enjoying an extended break granted by Napoli due to his recent national team duties.
