Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, has once again expressed its support for Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State in his determination to put an end to the regular sit-at-home orders imposed by a faction of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Following reports of tension in Enugu due to the enforcement of the sit-at-home, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, represented by Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, released a statement urging security agencies to intensify their efforts in gaining the trust of residents.
The statement praised Governor Mbah for his commitment to resolving the sit-at-home issue and commended his provision of additional logistics to the police.
The youth council called on the security agencies to collaborate with the governor in ensuring the safety of the people and emphasized the need for their proactive presence to prevent further incidents.
