Ajayi Polytechnic in Ikere Ekiti, under the leadership of its founder, Dr. Busayo Ajayi, has provided scholarships to over 700 students, with plans to extend the offer to an additional 1,000 students in the next academic session.
The institution remains committed to supporting students from low-income families by making more scholarships available.
Dr. Ajayi made this announcement during the combined convocation ceremonies for five sessions and the sixth Founder’s Day celebration, where 263 National Diploma graduates were honored.
The founder emphasized the institution’s mission to nurture entrepreneurial-driven leaders and skilled technicians, encouraging the graduates to pursue their dreams despite the challenges faced by the country.
The Executive Secretary of the Ekiti State Scholarship Board, Mrs. Bosede Jegede, representing the state government, expressed the belief that the acquired training would positively shape the graduates’ lives and contribute to the development of Nigeria.
Dr. Bolanle Ajayi, the Acting Rector, highlighted the significant growth of the institution, including infrastructure development, the establishment of an entrepreneurship unit, vocational programs, and the establishment of the NABTEB Centre for Ordinary Level students.
