Charly Boy mocks those who call for his arrest over his recent comment

Charly Boy, the controversial singer also known as Charles Oputa, has responded to demands for his arrest following his recent statement.

In a tweet on Saturday, he encouraged Nigerian youths to follow the example of French protesters who destroyed public property in response to the shooting of a 17-year-old by police near Paris.

Sharing a video of the rioters, Charly Boy expressed his expectation that Nigerian youths would reject a system that had failed them in a similar manner.

His tweet received backlash from some Nigerians who called for his arrest, accusing him of attempting to incite civil unrest.

In response, Charly Boy took to his Twitter handle on Sunday to ridicule those demanding his arrest.

He laughed at their reactions and criticized the Department of State Services (DSS) for allegedly prioritizing the arrest of people who speak out against criminals while failing to apprehend actual criminals.

He dismissed the critics as “useless Nigerians” and referred to them as monkeys forming gangs on his post.
