Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has given his approval for the appointment of Col. Oladipo James Ajibola as the Director-General of Operation Burst.

The announcement was made by the governor on Friday. Operation Burst is a joint security outfit that was established to address critical security issues in the state.

The outfit was created during the tenure of the late Abiola Ajimobi, the immediate past governor of the state.

Operation Burst comprises the military, the NSCDC (Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps), and the DSS (Department of State Services).

The appointment of the Director-General of Operation Burst was conveyed in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Segun Ogunwuyi.

Alongside this appointment, several other appointments were also made, including Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants in various roles.

The governor congratulated the new appointees and emphasized the importance of their commitment, loyalty, and diligence in carrying out their duties.
