Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has taken action by suspending all permanent secretaries in different Ministries, Agencies, and Departments (MDAs).

The Head of Service has also been suspended. The decision was made in light of the establishment of the Judicial Panel of Inquiry on the Recovery of Properties and Funds belonging to Abia State Government.

As a result, Lady Joy Maduka, Director of the Ministry of Education, has been appointed as the Acting Head of Service (HOS).

John Pedro Iroakazi, the Clerk of the House, and Mrs. U.G. Uche Ikonne, the Solicitor General, have been instructed to hand over their responsibilities to the most senior Directors in their respective departments.
